Environmentally friendly cruise ship for 3200 passengers
Hard to believe. But true: This gigantic ship can rightly call itself an environmentally friendly cruise ship for 3200 passengers. It has just been launched. As a charter broker with responsibility, OceanEvent took a closer look at the new cruise liner – and included it in its portfolio of sustainable cruise ships.
This fantastic product is now available for full charter for maritime events, incentives or conferences. But what extraordinary fun facts does this newcomer offer? What makes him special? How environmentally friendly is it really? And for which MICE events is it particularly suitable?
This ship is not only impressive from the outside. Inside too: the latest environmentally friendly technologies such as the NOx reduction system reduce its overall environmental impact. Selective catalytic reduction catalysts (SCR) filter sulfur oxides up to 98% and nitrogen oxides up to 90% and ensure that the relevant environmental regulations are more than met. An exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS), advanced waste water treatment systems and various waste avoidance strategies make another major contribution to a good CO2 balance. To minimize emissions while in port, the ship can be connected to and powered by the local power grid. This requires a corresponding infrastructure on land.
Measures like these are suitable for drastically reducing the impact of cruising on the sea, climate and environment and at the same time being profitable. At OceanEvent we welcome shipping companies who are committed to sustainability and are happy about this new addition!
This environmentally friendly, 3200 passenger cruise ship offers lasting fun!
From June 2023, this exotic cruise ship will be cruising from four European ports in the western and eastern Mediterranean during the summer months: Lisbon, Venice (Trieste), Rome (Civitavecchia) and Athens (Piraeus). Then in the winter season from Puerto Rico, San Juan, in the southern Caribbean. It holds a little over 3200 passengers with double occupancy. The cabins vary from inside, sea view and balcony cabins and are all surprisingly spacious. The suites were designed by star architects and delight with a spacious sun deck, infinity pool and outdoor spa.
There is plenty of fun for everyone. For example, the two fastest free-fall dry slides at sea, a three-story speedway circuit, a 40,000-square-foot boulevard that stretches around the entire ship, and a food hall with 11 different restaurants.
